ABOUT THE AMS: 

Featuring a diverse array of artistic expressions, from photography to ceramics, fiber art to drawings, paintings, screen-prints, and beyond, the DAI Annual Member Show (AMS) is a testament to the boundless talent, skill, and creativity flourishing within our community. This exhibition proudly presents feature about 250 distinct artworks created by the remarkable artist members of the Duluth Art Institute.

During the reception, guests have the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award, adding an interactive element to the celebration. Additionally, members are invited to participate in the DAI annual member meeting, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among our creative individuals.

How to Participate in the AMS

1. Prior to June 13, Become an active member of the DAI here

3. Thursday, June 13 between 9am and 5pm, bring your submitted artwork to the DAI Downtown, 130 West Superior Street, Suite 400 for Art Drop-Off Day & Gallery Soft Opening, details below
4. Tuesday, June 25, 4:30pm–8:00pm, attend the AMS Reception & Gallery Opening
5. June 25–July 24, weekdays 10am–5pm, invite friends & family to visit the AMS
6. Thursday, July 25 between 9am and 5pm, Pick up your artwork at the DAI Downtown, 130 West Superior Street, Suite 400

Submission guidelines:

- DAI membership and pre-registration required

- One submission per DAI membership group

- Work must have been created in 2023 or 2024

- All media welcome

- No AI-generated artwork

- Maximum size of 40" in length and 40" in width

- 3D artwork must weigh less than 50 lbs

- All wall-hanging artwork must be ready to hang with wire on back

- Single pieces only, no diptychs, triptychs, etc

- Clearly label artwork on back with: artist name, title, medium, year, size
